Valle Anterselva (Antholz)

Anterselva can be called the Mecca of biathlon and cross-country sports.

The Valley of Anterselva has over 60km of prepared cross-country trails, which may be navigated in the traditional or skating style. It can therefore be recommended for everyone, from beginners to advanced. The cross-country trails wind through romantic forests, snow-covered meadows and over the frozen lake.

Vacation in the mountains in the winter in the Valle Anterselva. As an alternative to the skiing, there are also two toboggan runs at the Lake Anterselva, which guarantee unadulterated tobogganing fun. Before tacking the toboggan runs, you can fortify yourself in the Hexenschenke on the Stallersattel or the Steinzgeralm.

There is also the possibility of hiring the toboggans on the spot. The Valley of Anterselva also offers interesting possibilities for snowshoe hikers and ski tourers in the snow-covered landscape.

A few kilometres from Anterselva lies the Kronplatz ski area, which has over 31 lifts and fulfils all wishes: sporting runs, broad carving pistes, a sunny 360° view and numerous après-ski taverns, offering fantastic conditions for skiers and snowboarders. [more]

The Riepenlift: 1,600m long with an altitude difference of barely 380m. From the beginning of December until the beginning of March there are the best snow conditions, with an artificial snow facility, wide and well-kept pistes, and various child figures and hills that guarantee the biggest ski pleasure for our little ones.

In summer the Valley of Anterselva, framed by high mountains and glaciers, is the ideal holiday area for hiking. The choice ranges from easy strolls and hikes to managed, rustic huts up to demanding tours to mountaintop refuge huts. In the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Reserve, escorted hikes are offered with a certified mountain guide.
